Frequently asked Questions about Pre-Planning

What are the Advantages of Preplanning?

First, Preplanning ensures that all of your final wishes will be fulfilled. Because death is a diffucult subject to duscuss, often times your true wishes may not be known or fully understood by your family,

Second, preplanning can eliminate the financial burden that a funeral might pose on your survivors. and by prepaying, your funeral will cost less now than it would in the future.

Third, preplanning provides you and your family with the peace-of-mind in knowing everything has been "taken care of " in the manor you specified. It is the best gift you can leave your loved ones.

Are the number of funeral prearrangements increasing?

Yes, Many people are discovering the peace of mind that prearranging provides. At Caskets and More we are meeting with people daily to help answer any of the questions families have and to help them with the process.

If I choose to pre-pay, what happens to the money?

It is placed in a third -party trust. It is in an irrevocable trust, and it's purpose is the protection of your pre-paid funds. Since the funds and irrevocably assigned, they can only be used for your final exspences, and cannot be accessed by anyone prior to death. The trust also protects your funds from Medicaid, should a nursing home stay ever become neccessary.

What are some of the things the plan takes care of?
